TO:  HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (HRM)
FROM: BRANCH OPERATIONS SUPERIOR SUPERVISOR (BOSS)

Hello IVAN

As our new Human Resources Manager, your job is to manage our human resources, which means picking out the best greeting card to send people on the many occasions when sending a greeting card is appropriate. Studies show that distributing appropriate cards has a significant impact on the mood, productivity, and long-term outcomes. Do not take this responsibility lightly.

From Ivan is a short branching narrative game where you control the story indirectly by sending mail to your friends, family, and coworkers. It was created by Sean Bloom, Martzi Campos, and Will Campos. Music by Kyle Laporte.

  • Receive mail from your boss, coworkers, family, and friends
  • Send greeting cards to mark a wide variety of special occasions
  • Maybe find love?
  • Eight different endings based on your choices

This game is a companion piece to Cosmonet. You do not need to play Cosmonet to enjoy From Ivan.

really cute one

As a guy named Ivan, this is a fun game to play. This is mostly because I have the same name as the main character, but still.

What a fantastic game, Its a really well written experience and i had an absolute blast playing it.

I don't even know what else to say, its just such a great game that i just stumbled upon accidently. Its like going out one day for a walk and just happening to find a Dimond lying on the floor.

its unexpected brilliance has left me speechless

Just finished playing this game with my partner, we both totally loved it! Such a wonderful, unique and heartfelt experience to play :)

The game was amazing! The only thing I would change, is to add a system that keeps track of which endings you got (and to name the endings!) because i'm an idiot and keep forgetting what endings i ran through! xD

That's a great idea! We're currently working hard on a new follow-up game, and I will keep this suggestion in mind. Thank you so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

this game was a lot of fun and very touching <3

Does this game work on 32-Bit ? (I wanna know before downloading ,thanks)

I Loved this game.

P.S. the boss is really crazy!

Ah yees Comrade! A fine simulation of beautiful life back in Mother Russia. The Confines of Capitalism are no match for your mighty cards!

I loved this. So much fun! Cute, chill but enjoyable. I love the cheeky surprises in the cards.

this was fun

This game is a delightful antidote for after playing horror games, plus - space puns! 😄

Thanks so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the break from horror games. :)  The choices you make do affect what happens. Most notably, they determine whether you get the job in London, and also whether Natasha applies for the job and gets it. So congratulations on finding the happiest ending!

That's awesome! 😄

I had no idea about the other endings, I'll have to play it again with the opposite decisions and see what happens!

Really enjoyed this charming game!

Hey, thanks so much for playing both of the Cosmonet games!

There's a spelling error in the game's initial letter. It says LHM, instead of LMH (Lost Man Hours). You should fix that.

Lovely game! Is there a way to play in windowed mode? Or a settings to mess with the volume of the music? I don't mind editing a file if you can point me to the correct one.

Try holding down the shift key when opening the application; that should open the Unity resolution window, which would allow you to play the game in windowed mode.  Hopefully that works for you. This game was created on a very short schedule, so I didn't have a chance to put in very much in terms of configuration settings. I hope to have a chance to come back and update this game at some point, and I would want to include display settings and volume controls in that.

I finally got around to playing From Ivan. Just like Cosmonet, it had me laughing in delighted fits. Y'all make absolutely witty and endearing games together. <3

If you like Emily is away, if you enjoy controlling your own story. And if you enjoy having freedom in a game then I suggest this whole-heartedly. Effort and passion was poured into this game, and it shows with its quality.

Hey, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, and we really appreciate the endorsement. <3

I really really like this game its unique and fun to play
well done

This is a very cool game with some unexpectedly difficult decisions. I never would have thought I would have to choose between traditional, aggressively fun, and inspirational graduation cards lol. Even though I kept getting Sasha and Natasha confused for some reason (totally my fault for not paying attention), I really enjoyed the story that this game tells. Thank you for an excellent game!

I really enjoed playing this game

There's a lot of depth for a "simple" premise that this game has. I'm highly impressed!

This game was a lot of fun for how simple it was. I loved the story (Not because I too love space) but because it was so wholesome

I just finished playing this and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Kinda reminds me of ''Papers, Please''.

My other half has just played this and really enjoyed it, she's looking forward to playing your other game Cosmonet.

really enjoy the concept, hopefully there will be more to this game :-)

I downloaded it from the windows download and it said I needed to download unity player. well I did that as well and it still wont open up.

Hi! I'll take a look at this, but make sure you unzip the whole folder, and then keep the executable in the same directory as the _data folder and the Unity .dll file that were zipped up with it.

absolutely loved the game! I still haven't finished it but here's my part 1 its about 20 min long.

Hey there - unable to open the app on a mac (10.11.6) - it's saying "The Application 'From Ivan' can't be opened" - no error number, unfortunately.

Eep! I'll take a look at it.  Thanks for letting us know!

Okay, I've uploaded a new build. You'll have to re-download the OSX version to try it out. I tried a slightly different build process this time around, and tested it on a Mac laptop, so I'm hoping it will work for you. If not, please let me know and we will figure out what is going wrong!

It works now. Thanks!

cool game

This game was great, also;

 My feelings! ;(

Holy crap this is a really good game. I absolutely loved this, and I recommend it to just about everyone! I see this going places, so Mr. developer sir, ya better keep working on this, create more stuffs or somethin. Thanks!

interesting game, don't know wtf was going on the whole video :d

Great game! Loved the quirky letters and the responses you got from them, not to mention the world I would love to learn more about. Looking forward to playing Cosmonet next!

I really enjoyed this one, great work!

wow, i didnt see that ending comming!

this was a very fun game, yet short. also depressing    :)

its not letting me download even tho I have a Mac

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a problem! Can you tell me anything else about the issue? Are you receiving and error message or anything?

In this game I really felt the aura of good humor... and potentially even the isolation.
